Feel like near-heart attacks
Heart rates high
The doom feeling
I’ve seen a few in and and out of the office
She was having one the first time I met her
“I bet the name “Olabintan” was a bit intimidating “…
we laughed when the storm was over
Her: My pulmonologist sent me to you
Me: I’m glad he did …
Her: She’s a she
Me: Oh my bad ..
I’m glad she did
We talked medications
Talking to our thoughts
Drawing strength from past victories
Meditation… the simple 5 minute kind
Fast forward 7 months later (yes, it took time)
20 lbs down
Doing new things… like running a marathon
I told her I’d write about her
My friend run coach Dr Quirk of MindfulMarathon would be so proud
“Can you imagine what else is possible?”
“You are doing things you never thought you would…
The sky is the limit.”
I encouraged her to dream …
Encouraging as I’m encouraged
