“As a man thinketh, so is he.”
This timeless truth reminds us that our thoughts have the power to shape our lives. Whether it's how we show up in our families, careers, or communities, our internal dialogue influences every external action.
In a recent powerful session, Dr. Tolulope Olabintan explored the healing power of our thoughts, showing us how to shift from fear, shame, and inadequacy into faith-filled, purpose-driven living. If you’ve ever wrestled with self-doubt, anxiety, guilt, or comparison, this is for you.
What are the 7 mindsets?
1. I Am Loved
Knowing you are loved isn’t just a nice thought—it’s foundational.
You were created in love, on purpose, with purpose. When you embrace the truth that God loves you deeply and unconditionally, everything changes.
You stop striving for approval, and you start living from a place of peace and confidence.
Love provides. When you’re loved, you have access—access to grace, wisdom, and the courage to move forward even when life is hard. Sit in that truth today: You are loved.
2. I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me
Life can be overwhelming. Whether it’s parenting, running a business, or navigating health challenges, we often feel stretched thin. But here's the good news: You don’t have to do it all alone.
Be reminded that strength is available—not just for the big tasks, but for the everyday moments. You can ask God to increase your capacity. You can invite Him into the grocery store runs, the Zoom calls, and even the toddler tantrums.
This mindset shifts your posture from burnout to partnership.
3. All Things Work Together for My Good
Not some things. All things.
This includes your mistakes, your detours, the unexpected diagnoses, and the doors that didn’t open. God doesn’t waste pain. He weaves even the most broken pieces into a beautiful story.
So the next time you find yourself in a valley, whisper this to your soul:
“Something good is coming from this.”
Live with expectation, not despair.
4. I Can Become
You are not stuck.
That fear? That habit? That limitation? It’s not your final chapter. You are becoming.
You’re not called to be them—you’re called to become the version of you that God envisioned. And yes, that version is bold, equipped, and whole.
5. I Have All I Need
Psalm 23 opens with: “The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.”
Provision is already in place for your current season. Whether it’s an idea, a friend, a door of opportunity, or a word of comfort—you’re not lacking. The key is to ask:
“Lord, where is it? Who do I talk to? What’s my next step?”
Living from abundance shifts your perspective from scarcity to trust.
6. I Repent Forward
Many of us are weighed down not by what others did to us—but by the guilt we carry over what we’ve done.
Here’s the invitation: Repent. Then move forward.
Don’t camp in shame. Don’t rehearse your regrets. Yes, own your actions—but don’t let them define you. Grace is real, and healing comes faster when we forgive ourselves as freely as we forgive others.
Let your past inform you, not imprison you.
7. I Am of the God Kind
You were made in God’s image. That’s not just a spiritual statement—it’s a declaration of identity and authority.
You carry creative power.
Just as God spoke the world into existence, your words shape your world. Speak life. Speak truth. Speak vision. You are not ordinary. You are of the God kind—designed with intention, equipped with purpose, and called to live fully.
Your thought life is the starting point of your healing.
Audit your thoughts.
Speak life over yourself.
Partner with God daily.
And when in doubt, return to these truths:
-I am loved.
-I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
-All things are working together for my good.
-I can become.
-I have all I need.
-I repent forward.
-I am of the God kind.
You don’t need a perfect mind to live well—just a renewed one.
Let these mindsets anchor your soul and heal your journey.
