Worth It

Doc!
I’m down 8lbs!

You were right!

It WAS what I was eating.

Me: “feeling like a genius but trying not to show it”

That’s great (trying to hide the “I told you so” that was eager to peak its head)

He: besides I have a new reason

Me: oh that’s right… he’s here!!!

He: *brings out pic of his grandson* look at that beauty… 1 month old today

Me: nodding in agreement … I concur, he is such a cutie!

We laugh over other cute pics and then go back to business …

He: you got me thinking last visit doc! I do want to enjoy my retirement years… so I changed how I eat.
I even tried goat meat.

Me: tasty huh?

He: yeah doc … eating that, walking with the wife and cutting down on beef!

I also started with the health coach you sent me to.
She is good.

Me: so how do you feel?

…Cos it’s much more than your labs looking pretty on my computer

He: doc, I feel great.

Me: please explain

He: dang doc…

I’m sleeping better
I seem to have more energy
And I feel less achy

Me: was it worth it?

He: worth what?

Me: the effort

He: yeah doc! Thanks … but I’m having steak for my birthday!

Me: that’s fair!

Conversations continue.

In health and for better retirement years,
Dr. Olabintan

PS: Pic of me trying a rotary phone at an event I went to. I called and someone actually picked up!
